1. Who we are
Nova Charters SNC (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.
- Registered office: Corso della Repubblica 13, 25083 Gardone Riviera (BS), Italy
- VAT / Tax code: 04734430988
- Email: contact@novacharters.it
- Phone: +39 351 667 1492
2. What data we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us:
- Contact data — name, email address, phone number and any other information you include when you write to us or contact us via WhatsApp.
- Charter details — dates, number of guests and preferences you share in order to arrange a booking.
- Technical data — your browser sends standard information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) which our hosting provider records in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not collect special categories of personal data.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer enquiries and arrange charters — performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To keep the site secure and working — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not send marketing emails and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
4. Cookies
This website does not use profiling or advertising cookies. Only technical cookies strictly necessary for the site to function may be set, and these do not require consent.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is processed by Google in order to deliver those files. If we later add analytics, chat or booking tools, this section and a consent banner will be added accordingly.
5. Who we share it with
Your data may be handled by trusted third parties acting as data processors on our behalf: our hosting provider, our email provider, and our accountant. They may only process data on our instructions.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, transfers are covered by adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
- Booking and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Italian law.
- Server logs: normally a few weeks, as set by our hosting provider.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, object to processing, or receive your data in a portable format. Write to contact@novacharters.it and we will reply within 30 days.
If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
